Timberland Company

TimberlandIn 1996 a Timberland Company executive purchased a Perkins table, which became the genesis of a new retail look for the Timberland brand. Michael Perkins was soon tapped by the company to design and build visual merchandising fixtures, using vintage wood, for a retail store in Stamford, Connecticut. This project was followed by more stores in the U.S. and Europe, including design and installation of fixtures and furnishings for Timberland’s North American flagship store on Madison Avenue. In 1997, Timberland named Michael Perkins Design as its In-Store Merchandising Designer, in which capacity he outfitted more than 20 locations around the world. Vintage Perkins continues to supply The Timberland Company with wood for its retail locations.

“Your methods of assembly, the manor in which you use old and recycled wood and the finishing style help bring out the true image of the brand, Rugged Outdoor.”
