MacNamara Foundation

TableIn 2001, Michael Perkins relocated an 1860s-era barn from Pennsylvania to Westport Island, Maine, where it is now the main building of the Robert M. MacNamara Foundation, a non-profit residency program for artists. In addition, Perkins built all of the interior fixtures and many of the wood furnishings out of wood, salvaged from the barn.

“Everything Michael Perkins has designed and built for the Foundation—from the beautiful, aged beams, vintage flooring and wood-paneled ceiling to the incredible dining room table and custom studio furniture — works in harmony. Without exception, everyone who walks through our doors is in awe of the beauty and functionality of the furnishings. Michael Perkins’ extraordinary talent resonates throughout all 9,000 square feet.”
