L.L.Bean
In 1995, Michael Perkins designed and built window displays for the first two L.L.Bean retail locations outside of Maine. The displays, which included tables, wainscoting and floorboards, introduced a vintage look that was subsequently adopted throughout the flagship store in Freeport, Maine. Vintage Perkins continues to supply L.L.Bean with reclaimed wood for all of its retail stores.
“The wood supplied by Michael Perkins for L.L.Bean in-store fixtures and interior finish is consistently high quality and very unique in nature. It really helps set our stores apart. It's very inviting and gives a sense of warmth that is hard to come by in ‘new’ wood.”
